My name is Russell, I live in the beautiful Southern Downs in Queensland, Australia. I have a wife and two young boys, and we have recently made a tree-change from the big smoke, to try and give our boys and ourselves a better quality life, and get back to nature and in touch with the real world and the goodness we can get from the earth.

I’ve been making and selling genuine returning sport boomerangs for many years at http://boomeranginfo.com and spending much less time than I would like making wooden Intarsia.

When I’m not enjoying life, I work in IT, currently as a Project Manager, but am hoping to change to a more rewarding lifestyle as soon as possible.

Having discovered hand crafted pen making while on holiday in 2008, I’ve grown to enjoy it immensely and hope to give something back to the pen turning community with my contributions through this blog, and through my offerings at my pen store at http://penaffair.com.
